May ’17: Kelly Sorbel

Kelly Sorbel’s work is about repetition and ritual. During the course of a 30 day period, Kelly painted different permutations of the same painting every day. Meditating on repeated bad habits through his youth, Kelly’s work explores the conflicting concepts of uniqueness and homogeneity in nature and daily life.

Every month the good folks at Concuss presents a collaboration with a Pacific Northwest artist—the inaugural edition is the handiwork of Seattle’s Kelly Sorbel.
