Filthy Fingers United (FFU) is a collective of producers building, promoting, and evolving the culture and artistry of hip hop production and culture. NW based and known nationally, members of Concuss and FFU overlap, collaborate, and even hang out!!
Our Radio Concuss Local Grown series rolls on with a four part showcase of the beat-maker crew Filthy Fingers United.
Part One features Crockett King, a producer, sound designer and DJ originally hailing from the twin cities of St. Paul and Minneapolis, Minnesota. Crockett now makes his home in Olympia, WA and has spent plenty of time in the greater Northwest music scene. He has a relaxed and classic style, drawing inspiration from underground hip hop and vintage sounds such as Frank Sinatra.
Part Two features Vaughn, experimental beat-maker. His legendary boom-bap beat tapes have evolved into the mutli-tempo’d and dynamic soundscape he creates here in his episode of Radio Concuss.
Part Three features thad wenatchee. Veteran producer and jazz enthusiast, thad’s dusty and understated style will have you vibing…if you are into that sort of thing.
Part four features Third Eye Bling. He’s worked with many of Seattle’s finest emcees, as well rocking live beat sets with Filthy Fingers United and many others. Third Eye Bling “makes dope beats most of the time.” Heck, all time!
